Logic board swap for the 2010 board

Hello, I have this machine (early 2011). I bought it for parts for really cheap. There is no way to repair it though. When I disassembled it the board looked a bit odd. It appeared someone BRIDGED resistors.

At this point, I was really disappointed. I started searching for replacement boards, but they are really expensive. And there are GPU issues… So I opted for the 2010 logic board because it has little to no GPU issues. But will the 2010 logic board fit into the 2011 MacBook without any problems?

How about upgrading to a much better logic board! I would go with a 2012 logic board. That gets you a better CPU & GPU than what you would get dropping down to the 2010 logic board.

I’m very sure its the better direction, as I’m typing away on such a converted system answering your question!

Yes, but 2010 is the budget one, and I don't have much money to spend on 2012

@Pavol Porubský - You loose the Thunderbolt connection, getting DisplayPort instead.

I haven't tried swapping the logic boards between the 2011 and 2010 so I can't tell you if you'll have issues.
