iPhone 4 frame replacement

I have an iPhone 4 that I've dropped, and although the glass on the back and front is perfectly fine, there are scratches to the top of the phone right near the headphone jack (on the steel frame and a bit on the plastic outer on the rear glass panel).

I was wondering if it was possible to replace the steel bit (antenna?) that surrounds the headphone jack, and if i need to replace the entire back panel to fix the scratches on the plastic.

To get it fixed at a store will cost $70, just looking for a cheaper way. Any help would be appreciated!

From my experience, if your iPhone is working perfectly fine then don't touch it. If you are worried about a few cosmetic scratches then i would recommend to buy a full body leather case that surrounds the entire iPhone. These are ideal for protection against scratches and drops (i could drop mine from about 2 meters in my leather case and it is perfectly fine).

The reason i recommend to leave it alone is because if you want to replace the outer bezel (metal part around the phone) you need to strip the ENTIRE phone and put it into a new frame. This can cause issues with the proximity sensor (not calibrated correctly/installed incorrectly), it can cause issues with the logic board and is just an overall pain in the a** to fit. But it is all up to you :) What ever you choose, good luck!
