Hi there,
basically.. in short, i have an iphone xs, the screen is cracked however still fully operational, jus a crack in the screen. i a a mechanic so good with hands however phones aren’t my forte, what kit do i need in order to replace the front screen please ( including tooling as ill need to do the same to an iphone x and a apple watch… its been a hard year ,,

You can buy kits here on ifixit. You’ll need to a a complete screen replacement as they use OLED panels and it’s really difficult even for experienced techs. They’ll include tooling and you can find guides on here as well. Just avoid using an LCD and stick with OLED. LCD runs the risk of damaging the connectors due to increased current consumption and can impact battery life.

I refurbish screens but it isn’t worth buying all the equipment if you’re only going to refurbish one screen as it costs thousands. There are other methods that you can use but they are DIY methods. For example to remove the glass you can use a heat gun and plastic to get under the glass and take it off. Then when installing the new glass, you’d use LOCA instead of OCA, then use an ultra violet light to cure the LOCA glue.
