Bypass Mac's DAC + send Digital signal to amplifier with internal DAC

I already have an amp with an internal DAC. I would love to bypass the MacBook internal DAC and send a digital signal directly to my amp for it to convert. Any leads?

@paipaupao Sorry you only have two port options the analog headphone or the digital USB-C/Thunderbolt ports.

I work with some pro's and students which use mac's for composing, editing and creating music as well as foley and electronic music artists which need the full deep fidelity for production work. All use USB DAC units in their MacBook Pro's.

One Pro I know uses all four USB-C ports! He uses a Hub to act as a pass through for a few DAC's (3 per hub) Behringer Audio Interaces While Behringer units are USB-A based they really don't need the full ability of USB-C on his 2019 16" MacBook Pro. This is what he uses for his output Fiio K3. His work is small 1 to 3 minutes for TV & radio ads. Anything longer tends to push the system hard and rendering can really push the system too hard.

A few use the new 2019 Mac Pro's in the studio for massive creating and mixing their work. Maybe you need to look at a desktop class system. Neil Parfitt - Using a Mac Pro in the Studio for a music creator!

If you are a budget you don't need the pro gear! Just look at what Billy Eilish and her brother Finneas used to create their music! Billie Eilish proved anyone can access Grammy-winning gear

To add to the confusion, I heard two sides to this story. One said, the USB C is a digital port while another said the new Macs no longer support digital??

Here's another question concerning the - let's say - digital signal. If I use a USB C cord on the one end connected to the Mac and the other is of the cord are male RCA analogue connected to the Mac. Is that even possible without a chip (converter) in the USB cord? Again, it's important that the amp receives a digital signal.

@paipaupao - Lets re-phrase your concern! As your terminology is a bit off as well as your expectations!

The audio output or input lines are either analog using wires are digital using an optical connection. The Mac system its self is less of an issue here just the means of interconnect! The USB-C port is a digital port! But it's not directly designed to support a digital audio interconnection (SPDF). The headphone jack is the only direct audio connection.

Which is why we need a means to convert the USB signal to a digital audio signal via a device. In this case the conversion is digital (USB) to a digital optical as you want to output the audio out of your Mac! You need this: Filio K3

If on the other hand you are trying to mix your audio on your Mac you need a means to bring it into your system, which is where the input is mostly an analog source or MIDI. This is where the Behringer Audio Interfaces comets play! Click on the Blue URL links I posted for more information!

you should be able to simply use a USB connection from the mac to the amp. I assume your mac does not have any other digital audio output available like SPDF.
