Water damaged Pro Controller

I have gotten some water into my switch pro controller through the joy stick and the buttons. I took it apart and removed the battery but I’m honestly clueless from here on out. I soaked it in rice for 12 hours and it still refuses to connect, charge, or turn on. Whenever I press the button on the top, it vibrates a little bit but then goes back to being dead. I saw on another answer that I should soak it in alcohol after removing the battery but I don’t know how that would work or if I should remove the motherboard first. Anything helps, thank you.
