Magsafe gives a green light but the battery is no longer charged

In the past I changed the battery and everything went well.

Now, the magsafe gives a green light but the battery doesn’t charge.

I tried every reset procedure (i.e. SMC reset) but with no luck.

Is it worth to try to replace the DC-in Power Board ?

What? I really doubt this MacBook model has a charger with a light... or a Magsafe port.

Have you tried reconnecting the original battery to check if it's a battery issue?

@ngs765 - Don't get in a twist! Clearly he selected the wrong system. Getting the CoconutBattery info would have given us the system ID to double check things.

Now the screen is black with the red image of the battery that needs power…

No way to get it switched on

(yes, I selected the wrong system. Now I corrected it)

At this point if the system is not able to start up your battery is not charging. You had stated the MagSafe charger LED is green. Is it a bright green or dim?

Also lets clean the MagSafe connector port using a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol making sure the buildup of junk in the socket is not messing up your charger. Post a picture of the MagSafe port so we can see Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag

Sadly your logic board needs repairs as the charging logic is messed up. Did you have a liquid spill at some point? The logic is on the just under the keyboard so any liquid which gets through can damage it. You'll need to take the logic board fully out to inspect it.

No liquid spill. Never!! But I'll take out the logic board to inspect it.

thanks
