Switching Home Button From White to Black.
Do I have to take apart my Iphone 4 just to switch the color of my home button? I'm talking just the button here and not the ribbon.

It's just to replace it.
You have to move the "push-funktion" from the old one to the new button.
It's fasten with glue so you can just remove it carefully and move it to the new button.

There really is no shortcut to doing a job right. The best way it to take it apart and replace it.

I believe the best option would be to take it apart and do it. You would probably end up ripping the flex cable if you tried the short way.
