iMac 8.1 Screen is oversaturated also on external monitor

I got my hands on an old Imac 8.1.

The screen in standard mode is however oversaturated. I get the same result when I connect een external monitor. I was able to get it a little bit better readable screen with calibration, attached 5 pictures.

Are there options to tune the graphics card or should I look for a replacement of the graphics card?

The OS is Snow Leopard

Thanks and regards,

Jacob

First, go into System Preferences, then Displays, then click Color. You should have a lot of options listed. Click on the top one that says Color LCD. You should see the colors change. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer. I already did that as you can see in the picture 1 & 2. The top option (and other standars) give the over saturated view. As stated I created a calibrated one, which gives a slightly better display but still over saturated view, see picture 3 & 4.

@sjakio it might be the graphics card is defective or glitchy so you might want to look into gpu replacements.
