No image, no detection from laptops, but USB/Speaker/iSight all works

Got no images nor it can be detected by either MacBook Pro or PC laptops, but speakers, USB ports and iSight camera works fine. Replaced with the logic board recently(bought over eBay), but has the same result.

Any thoughts what could be wrong?

Many thanks!

Alex

Hi Dan, do you mean the display screen assembly itself is bad? And nothing to do with its cables, etc.?

I don't see any other answer.

OK, thanks again Dan!

By the way, Dan, do you know the part number if I go ahead to replace the display assembly?

Would it be possible to connect it to monitor?

My thought process leads me to think thst the problem is within the display either at the pin or the port, the odds of you getting a board with the same problems is not entirely unheard of but chances are its gotta be on the display or the cable , but i dont exactly know, especially when it comes to apple :| i wouldn't run anything past them. But that's just my opinion, If anything whatever tools you do have at hand that can check the tolerances of or what is expected in voltage or power that the parts are reciving the given amount of power theyre supposed to, if not handy id recommend snagging one for the future since it will help diagnose if the problem is on 1 end or the other? Youd be surprised how far ossiliscopes go, super handy little guys

@rocingbayelectronics - You raise a good point!

Often I see the connectors and cables damaged when someone has had a hard time opening the system (display here) to service it adding RAM or drives. In a display there just no need to do that.

So unless it was worked on before and the connection slipped off you wouldn't get a blank/black screen.

The other factor is the logic board is what is seen by the other system within its display listing, as we don't see it that aims us to the logic board not the display.

This is a perplexing problem for sure!

Could it be possible that the all-in-one cable is bad?
