toshiba c75d-b7215 battery replacement won't connect to computer

I have checked everywhere on how to get my replacement battery to connect to the computer. My BIOS is completely updated. It is not the replacement battery because I got 2 brand new ones thinking the first one was bad and the 2nd one did the same thing. It won’t connect, it flashes orange. I let it charge overnight and nothing different. I have tried all the reset options. Does anyone have a different suggestion? I don’t want to buy a new computer. Please help! Thanks

first thing i would check to see if the battery is fitting and connecting properly (after verifying that you indeed have the correct replacement part).

after this, i would see if the battery is able to power on the device (although it isnt recognized in the software). if it does, it points to a software/firmware issue. if not, i would start looking at the connection inside the device. make sure the ribbon cables are connected, no burnt or damaged components.

what made you change the battery in the first place? give us some history of the symptoms and what you have tried.
