How To Check Dc Jack is Working?

HELLO I have an A1398 macbook pro retina with no green light on charger. I also say that there is not voltage in logicboard. I want to be sure for Dc jack is working or not? . How can I test it. I have a multimeter.

I think I found the problem with jack. In this picture I show you an smd companent burned. Can I fix it or should I buy new dc jack

I found what it is. İt is an ESD protector, diode. Its code is RClamp2402B. You can google it. I will buy one and try to replace it but I can not find it in Turkey :(( Now I'm searching for similar component

Nice work. I’d have just ordered a replacement connector on ebay myself but repair does generate less e-waste. Digikey, mouser and farnell all have stock in the UK perhaps you can find a source elsewhere in europe or just order on aliexpress.
