Battery empty and now not charging

For a while I had the impression that the battery was not correctly calibrated, because it shutdown at around 20%. Now it happened again today, but my Macbook won't charge. When I connect the MegSafe Charger, the indicator does not light up at all. I don't think it is a problem with the charger, because I tried it with a different one and it still does not charge.

When I try to boot the computer, I can see the Mac logo and the progress bar starts is loading but then if goes off. Othertimes, I can get to the user login screen and then it turns off. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

You likely need a new battery! But, your bigger problem is the charging logic needs repairs.
