How to fix the battery temperature sensor? Too cold to charge

The phone was completely charged in the morning then midday I tried to put it on the charger when I got in the car. It said its too cold to charge and it will stop charging the battery until it goes back to normal .. except the phone is not cold at all. Its sorta warm from me holding it. I’ve kept it on the charger since it doesnt necessarily use that much power to stay on without the battery being drained but the battery continous to deplete while plugged in. I’ve seen other posts on why it give that message but no clear way how to fix it.

you have 5 options on what it could be. it could be the battery, the charge port board, the flex cables from the charge board to the motherboard, the nfc/wireless charging part or the connectors on the motherboard itself from the charging plugs or battery.

also some have had luck pressing firmly below the right side of the rear camera , sometimes the connector comes unplugged and that will fix it. do a google search its fairly common.

I would start with replacing the battery. To my knowledge the only way to repair the sensor is to do some logic board work. however the battery may just be going bad causing confusing readings for the system. the battery output for the s10 plus should be about 5 volts. Start there.

I'd get a vibration and a charging pattern on my screen. I put some tape across the centermost terminal of my battery. Phone is charging fine.
