No power, MagSafe port smells burnt

I have a MacBook Air which failed to turn on, connected the charger and got a Green then Amber MagSafe light,

Connected my neighbors charger and still no power,

I attempted an SMC reset which made the charger go from amber to Green for a moment then back to Amber

After later removing the charger I smelled a plastic burning smell from the MagSafe port on the laptop.

If anyone knows how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it

Lets give this a try, follow this guide to Step 3 MacBook Air 11" begin 2015 Vervanging van de batterij. Now with nothing connected press the power button for a good 15 secs. Sit the system on its side so the MagSafe is on the top side carefully plug in the MagSafe charger, Did the system spontaneously boot up? If it did then you have a bad battery and will need to replace it.
