Hi there. LG PDP50R30111 loud pop whilst watching similar to a balloon popping, screen went black and no sound. Power/standby light still turns on, no smoke and nothing obviously broken in the back of the TV. Wondering if I should replace the power board or the YSUS?

I personally don’t think repairs on TVs make much sense considering the boards can be expensive. Around 100$ for just the power board.

I'm not that good with plasma TVs, more familiar with LED TVs but I'll take a look.
Could you check that it may be a LG 50PV250 as I can't find anything about the model number you posted but some point to the above model number.
Also FYI a pop may not be an exploding component as sometimes it can be the noise coming from the speaker due to an unexpected power problem Not saying that it is a speaker problem though ;-)
