What type of glue used to stick a new battery into an Ipad inner rear case?

If I use any type of glue it may result in melting the battery or case health issues later?

It may even come unstuck later and rattle around when closed up!!!!

I would suggest using rubber cement. It doesn't produce heat when curing. Also, the battery and glue will be removable if the battery ever needs replaced again.

Your best bet is to use a petroleum based glue, which is the glue they actually use in the iPad. It's good stuff as it won't react with the plastic (also made from oil!) and damage the battery in any way. It also means you can clean away all of the glue very easily using a petroleum based solvent, this stuff will get the glue totally off and will evaporate off too, this makes sure there is no moisture at all in your iPad which could damage it, unlike other glue products.
