Startup/wake from sleep issues. Even Apple can't figure it out.
Hi,
My MacBook Pro freezes up after it is shut down or put to sleep for a timespan of over 20 minutes. When it freezes up after sleep, I need to power it down using the power key and then power it back on at which point everything works fine until I put it back to sleep again.
When I try turning it on after a shutdown, often it turns on but sometimes the backlight will come on and then nothing will happen and I will need to power it down again and turn it on again.
In both cases, half the times a flashing folder will appear and half the time nothing will appear on the screen.
I’ve taken it into an Apple Store and they ran all kinds of hardware diagnostics and said everything seems fine, including disk and logic board.
I’ve reset the NVRAM and SMC, and done two clean installs of MacOS including one of these was performed by Apple at the store. Everything was erased both times.
I’m really stumped! Apple said they will review some logs they made me take and get back to me in a week but this is really annoying and I’d like to figure this out sooner.
Is dit een goede vraag?
