Red 12V ignition wire has no power

I’m installing aftermarket radio on my 05 Pontiac grand am. It’s not powering up, I checked all the wire they all have power except the red ignition wire. I checked all the fuses they are good. Don’t know what else to do

Here’s a link to the radio wiring colours for your model vehicle. Scroll down the page to view the wire colours and the function of the wire.

There is no mention of a “red” wire for power but if you mean the wire for switched accessories power then if it is already run in then you will have to trace where it goes as the link states that it is not provided and has to be run in.

The constant power supply from the battery is an orange wire.

Had this same problem man. There is not an accessory wire to connect the red wire to. You have to wire it to your external fuse box under the hood. I believe its number 38. It will say cigar lighter/auxiliary. Wire it to that and it's best to put a fuse in between them so only the radio will go out if a fuse blows
