What should I do?

I spilled a small amount of liquid on my laptop 2 months ago. I wiped it immediately. I looked inside and saw no water damage. The button that indicates water damage isn’t red. I wiped isopropyl alcohol with q tips on my logic board. My laptop still doesn’t work. I don’t know what’s the problem. I don’t see any corrosion. Could it be a battery problem? I powered it too see it would it work. I’m not a computer expert and I don’t want to spend money for something that I don’t think doesn’t need it. Should I just replace my battery pack? I was thinking of removing my motherboard just to clean it inside but I don’t want to damage it because I’m not an expert. What should I do? Please help. Thank you

Sounds like you really need to find someone local who can inspect your system to see what's needed.

Where are you located? Country & nearest city.

For macbooks, any water will go on the other side of the motherboard, the side you can’t see unless you take the board out the machine. If you ever split water on a macbook and it stops working its normally considered water damage and needs to see a tech. There are many locations out there that repair motherboards. If you can remove then ship it you’re looking at $100 to $500. There are some shops posting repairs on eBay for under $300 where you can send your board in to repair then they bill you after with whatever price is posted on the listing. Just make sure you read the reviews before choosing to send your board away. Some will do an exchange where they give you couple dollars off another board when you send them your damage board.
