iPhone won't boot and Home button is broken.

So I am Into repairs and I recently bought a second hand Iphone 6 to repair and sell. The repair went well and look good as new. The only problem is now the Phone won't boot. When I Power it on the apple logo shows for 2 seconds and then dissappears. After that the screens backlight stays on but does not boot. Keep in mind the home button have been repaired and won't boot into DFU. I've been told it could be the Charging IC or the display IC but the display is working and the battery seems to be charging well. So that is basically that. What could be the other possibilities? I've tried charging it for hours but still does not boot. I cannot take it for apple support in SA because they are kinda not very umm good at repairs and it's not my phone. Also there won't be any warranty since I do repairs and replaced with non apple original parts. The one Iphone 6 I have Givens out 2.94 volts and the one I repaired is giving out a valued jumping between 3.5-3.9V at the battery connector on motherboard . Maybe that has something to do with the problem? I've tried using new batteries but no different results.

Was the phone working prior to your repair...and what problem were you repairing?

Post a clear photo of the front panel connectors. Especially the bottom left screw hole.

Hey Mino,

The display was working before the repair. The screen was cracked and some touch not working.

I have replaced the:

Charging flex port

The volume/mute flex

Screen complete LCD

A new iPhone 6 case

Home button original but not paired to motherboard.

I also have a feeling

It might be the U2 Tristar chip because there is no connection to PC.

I hope I attached pictures correctly. I removed the holder and So it seems that(Long screw damage) is the problem. Just double-check the picture. If it is I really appreciate your assistance and feel dumb for making this mistake. I cannot say how thankful I am for the assistance given. If this is the problem what would repair costs be?

I am not sure of the repair cost Marcel. I only fix long screw damage on data recovery jobs. I would guess between $100 and $200 if you could find anyone to do it.

You have a lot of variables here, which is normal when you’re so deep in trying to isolate a problem. I would start by testing a bare-bones setup. Start by disconnecting the battery first (always!). Then disconnect the digitizer, LCD, front camera, rear camera and home button extension flex. Now re-connect the battery; you should only have the battery and Lightning Dock flex connected. Connect a known-good, preferably Apple-original Lightning cable to an iTunes enabled computer.

If you have access to a multimeter, you could measure the battery first. If it reads ~3.8V - 4.2V, then it is good. Does iTunes recognize your phone? If so, then you should re-connect one flex at a time until the phone stops working. I would start with the Home button flex first, then add the rear camera, LCD & Digitizer then from camera flex.

If the bare-bones setup does not get recognized by iTunes, then you most likely have a logic board issue. If you are reading ~3.5 volts at the battery terminal when connected to a charger, then it is probably not a Tristar issue. Check the area near the connectors and take a look inside the screw holes for the screen assembly bracket…you could have Long-Screw Damage, which is what @imicrosoldering was referring to with his excellent comment above.
