Battery replacement not a proper fit?

Hey there! I ordered a battery replacement for my macbook pro retina (mid 2015) from ifixit and I have it in to line it up but the connector isn't right? what should I do?

The slack in the wires is intentional! Carefully curl the wires down into the hollow in a loop and then align the connector and press it down. Ideally, you do this before putting the logic board back in.

@danj how does one curl them? Is there a tool I need or use my fingers? I just can't mentally picture curling them.

I just use my fingers!

To help you see what's needed with the logic board out bend the wires together down using an Allen L wrench to help press them down and then back up and bend the connector part back down.
