Having problems with keyboard.

I just replaced the logic board. The macine will only boot up on the battery, and there is no keyboard control, or back light. Can not charge machine with wall charger, even though I get a green light on the charger. I was thinking about the left I/O board, but don't understand why the keyboard won't funtion when its pluged into the logic board, and there is enough power on the logic board to boot the macine, and run the screen. Does anyone have a sugjestion as I would should try next? Should the keyboard be working?

Did you buy the logic board knowing it would work? That would stink if you bought it from eBay and the seller lied about its condition. I've been there MANY times.

Well, I would assume that ifixit would sell me a board the works.

What was it doing before the logic board replacement? Why did you replace the board? Did you change board speeds?

When the machine was powered up, I would see a flashing white light in the front. and slight noise from the optical drive, then nothing.... from looking around replacing the logic board would be the first step.

First thing's first, you should check and double-check your connections. More than anything, these issues sound like connection problems to me. You may even want to reinstall the logic board again just to go back and check all of your connectors. It's really easy to accidentally incorrectly seat a connector and it can cause all the grief. I've done the same where I've lost response from the keyboard merely because I failed to connect its cable completely.

Agreed, It sounds like a connection problem, but i'll be darn if I can find which one. I have repeated the installation twice. Then gone over and over the connections poking each one to make sure that it has seated properly. But then my eyes are not that good either. The keyboard has been disconnected so many time that I've lost count. The only one I can't see is underneath the logic board, and coud be a hit or miss. Not much slack in the cable to get a good visual.

I am wondering if there might be a connection problem with a cable I never touched, but jarred loose somewhere. Open for any addition thoughts.
