Panasonic TX-L37ET5B image freezes, vertical color lines, image fade

Hi all,

I have a Panasonic TX-L37ET5B which does a funny thing : the image freezes for a few seconds ( iI have noticed that a few centimeters on the top of the screen don’t freeze), while I still have sound, also the image starts to fade and some color vertical lines appear on the screen.

Any idea what’s wrong with it ?

I have attached 2 videos .

@oldturkey03 thank you for the fast reply.I have taken some pictures with the boards, but only from one side. I will remove all the board tomorrow and check on the other side as well.

I will also try tomorrow to clean the connectors with some contact cleaner.

If is a bad panel, it doesn’t worth replacing/repairing, right ?

marmotasrl  possibly a bad main board but most likely a bad LCD driver which is part of the panel. Remove the back and check the boards for obvious damaged components. Post some good pictures of your boards so we can see what you see. Double check all wires for proper seating. Remove them and reinsert all the ribbon cables etc. Ultimately this does look like a bad panel. Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag

marmotasrl looks good. Thanks for the images. That size panel maybe easier to find and may be cheaper than a new TV. Of course it'll depend on where you are located and what shipping etc. will add to it. Do an online search for your panel LC370EUD (SE)(F2)and see what you think.

Thanks for the info @oldturkey03 . I've found the panel for 30pounds(I am in the UK ) which is good. Is it a job that I can do home ? ( can't see how to change those). Thanks

marmotasrl yes you can. It is not that complicated. I do believe I have a manual for this so bear with me.

@oldturkey03 thank you. 1 more question if I may : do I need 1 ore more of those LED strips ?

door

@marmotasrl that is a tough one. See if you can order it as a set. It could be 2 or more.
