I had this problem once and it was a bad capacitor. I opened it up looked around and noticed capacitor was swollen. I changed it and it worked.

Otwoma Mokaya Samsung officially does not use blink codes. Unplug the wire going from the power board to the main board. Let us know what happens when you turn the TV on. You should see the backlight coming on. 6 blinks on a Samsung is usually related to backlight issues. We would need to know what model your TV is and possibly see the boards and interconnect wiring.
