Find my Mac after SSD Replacement

Hello,

I recently installed a Samsung 970 Evo into my Mac and restored from Time Machine. I also am using Boot Camp and the macOS partition is formatted as APFS on a GPT volume.

I realized that Find My Mac could no longer be activated and my guess is that this is due to my new SSD not having a recovery partition like the original SSD. Is there a way to get this functionality back?

Thank you in advance!

Eric

I was running MacOS Catalina version 10.15.1 (Build 19B88)

I solved the issue by clicking the check box to enable Find my Mac, and waiting for the “Options” Button to appear for the setting before clicking “Allow” on the pop-up.

Thank you,

Eric
