Hey, just wondering before I do an iPhone X screen replacement, is the front camera/earpiece assembly replaceable? I am just wondering because I don’t want to do the repair if the Face ID functionality will be ended if I have to replace the front camera/earpiece assembly in case I accidentally damage the front camera or earpiece etc during the dissasembly or reassembly.

Yes it will. The infrared flood lamp on the speaker flex is paired with the logic board. If the flex breaks and you don’t transplant the flood lamp, Face ID breaks.

I don’t think you will stop face id functionality if you damage the camera only if you damage the face id sensor.
