MacBook Air Shuts off at 75% power, Service Battery Warning

When I have my MacBook Air 13” (mid-2013) it will randomly shut off about 75%. The battery icon says service and I’ve attached the Coconut Battery screenshot. I know it’s a several years old at this point so if I need to replace, just let me know.

Thanks for the help!

Gekozen oplossing

Service batteries may show all sorts of issues, including sudden shutdowns especially when peak power is required by the system. A replacement would probably be all you need and surely the first step to take in this case.

An easy repair! MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Vervanging van de batterij

While you haven't maxed the battery out from cycles your charging habits is likely the reason the battery prematurely died. Try to charge the battery before its dropped below 30%, waiting for it to drop below 15% will wear-out the battery sooner.
