Died randomly, replaced battery to no avail.

Over the course of a month, it began dying randomly at 30% and 40%. Then one day I fully charged it overnight, unplugged it, then was on it for maybe 2 minutes when at 94% it died and would not turn back on. I purchased a battery to replace the old one, thinking that was the issue, replaced it without issue (maybe) but it remained off and even when plugged in it would not show the charge icon. I have ordered a new phone as most cannot live without a phone. However I would like to see if other people have any input on this problem.
