Charged for a hour and screen stays black when turned on.

So it has been about a year since I turned it on and it was charging for about more than a hour and I pressed the on button for more than 5 sec. And the screen just is black.? What do I do it won't turn on?

Hi @elizabeth11 ,

Did the tablet show that it was fully charged?

Does it turn on OK if you leave the charger connected and switched on?

Hi,

With the charger connected try a hard reset to see if you can get to the recovery menu.

Be aware that if this works it will erase all your data and downloaded apps and restore the tablet to its’ factory default condition.

Ensure the device is off and then press and hold the Volume Up button and then press the Power button, hold both on together for 5-7 seconds and then release the Power button only. When you get the Android recovery menu on the screen, release the Volume Up button and scroll down using the volume buttons to wipe data and then press the Power button to commence the action.

Be patient, it takes a while to perform the reset.

Hi @elizabeth11 ,

Just start the procedure to see if the recovery menu screen turns on.

You don't have to do the reset if it does.

Usually there is an option to just reboot the device.

If it doesn't even get into the recovery screen menus then there are more problems.
