Be very careful in separating the two pieces as you do not want to scratch the LCD. Use ample heat and take your time. I use my old business cards to keep the glass separated so it doesn't re-adhere. For reapplying I use a 3M Laminate adhesive and upon re-seating the glass cover it with something that won't scratch your new close and place a magnet or something of moderate weight on the edge of the screen.
