When all screws are removed from bottom and removal is attempted, all seems to pop off except one outer corner hear Disk tray. I find no additional screws located anywhere. Don’t want to break the plastic.

Model variations in ASUS F556 series?
Try below, with screen hinge oriented at the top, for the hidden screws.
On the bottom side there is one hidden screw to open the RAM compartment under a little plug and three screws inside the RAM compartment and one under left (screen hinge and DVD side) top rubber foot.
Also keep track of screws as there are different sizes!

There’s always one more screw. It may be hidden under a self-adhesive foot, or a little circular self-adhesive screw cover. It might even be under a self-adhesive identification label, tamper-evident label or “void your warranty here” label.

Thanks for that but , no other screw located. Not under rubber , or label.

A dead battery is of no use.
I am only speculating but maybe the mystery screw is on the other side?
If this fails...well it is up to you.
