Phone with finicky charging after dropped in ocean

As said in the title, I dropped my phone in the ocean. It fell face first and I picked up a few moments afterwards. After letting it dry my home and power button were finicky and would only work at a certain time. Before that my phone would charge fine, but now it wont respond to charging at certain times. It seems like it is in fact charging, but it wont show the actual percentage on the screen, not until i turn it off and back on again will it show the actual percentage that my phone charged. Is there anything i can do or should I just try to get a new phone?

Short story is, time for a new phone if it is acting up on you. I will say I don't understand the whole issue of not showing percentage until you turn it off, but I will day if it isn't charging for you via USB, then try it wireless if possible. If you're having the same issues, then it is either a battery issue, or a motherboard issue (and it is likely the latter). If it charges wirelessly just fine, then it is a bad charging port and the dock would need to be replaced.
