iPhone 6s Pentalobe screws compatible with iPhone 6

Are the iPhone 6s pentalobe screws compatible with the iPhone 6? I just tried with 6S screws on the iPhone 6 and they went right thru and could be screwed indefinitely without tightening.

When i looked at the 2 screw holes on the screen assemblies i noticed that the holes were bigger on the 6 compared to the 6S.

I have read that the 6s and 6 uses the same screws, so maybe this is a issue with my third party screen?

So do they use the exact same type/size of screws?

Yup, it seems to be the exact third party screen I tried on which was the cause I think, since I bought a new third party screen because the one I tested on had the glass broken,. And now it seems to work fine on the new screen, the screws grabs onto the screen assembly nicely and tightly.

Maybe the screw holes on the screen assembly which I tested on had became misaligned because of the glass being broken, even though the screw holes looked to be in the exact correct position when mounting the screen back on the phone?

The screw holes are not always perfectly alined on the displays, especially if it’s an aftermarket screen. Try to bend them towards the bottom of the phone carefully, they might snap off if you’re not careful.

Thanks I will definitely have to check that out.

But I find it strange that the screws goes all the way though without any resistance on the 2 holes which are on the screen assembly, but when I tried the same thing on an original iPhone 6s screen and with the exact same screws it was a tight fit. Meaning when I tried on the screws directly in the holes on the screen.

So it seems and looks like the screw holes on the aftermarket iPhone 6 screen are bigger than the screw holes on the original iPhone 6s screen, even though the 6 and 6s are suppose to use the same screws?

If they go straight through on the screen assemblys screw holes without any form of resistance i assume my "fix" wont work. Personally i never got any aftermarket screens with this problem, the screw holes has just not been sitting in the right spot when i sealed the phone.

Just tried myself to get a iphone 6S screw through an 6 screens screw holes and there is resistance and doesn't just go straight through.

The sews from your “iPhone 6s” should work with all phone above the iPhone 3. I recently got a iPhone X and I can tell you the the sews are the same size and length as the iPhone 6 and 6s.
