LCD flex over battery connector

Hi.

After replacing the screen on my iPhone 6s the LCD goes dark when pressed around where the battery connector is. The battery is also new but the problem didn’t occur with the old screen in place. 3D Touch barely works because of it.

What I’m trying to figure out is whether the new screen is faulty or not.

Thanks!

Is there a foam pad on the battery connector? A lot of replacement batteries make this pad too thick and it causes your metal bracket over the battery connector to not sit flush. Remove that foam piece.

The 3d touch barely working is the screen itself. Unless you purchased an original refurbished replacement screen your results will vary on 3d touch functionality. I’ve seen where the best aftermarket screens will still give me mixed results from working perfectly to being too sensitive or flat out not working.

No foam pad on the connector, the battery claims to be original.

Ok, in that case, it's the screen. I've seen this on aftermarket screens. Original refurbished screens aren't that expensive for the 6s. They average $30.

Yep, I just tried using the screen while detached from the body and the problem persists. Thank you!
