Why is my mac not booting?
I think i destroyed my mac, i can hear the chime but only the backlight turns on,even the keyboard backlight is not working.

Louis Rossmann is a Macbook repair God. Since this seems like it's component/board level, I would take a look at his Youtube channel to get a good idea on how he repairs Macbooks. If you don't feel comfortable repairing it, he allows you to send it in.

Try hooking your mac up to an external screen. Since you are still hearing the startup chime part of the mac is still working and perhaps something has gone astray with the display.
