Touch screen and home button stop working after a few minutes

Replacing a screen on an iPhone 6 and every screen I try (including original Apple) work for a minute or so and then the touch and home button stop working. I unplug everything and reattach it and it’s works for a minute again. What is going on?

What happens if u dont connect the home button

Same thing. I’ve even disconnected the camera as well as the charge port assembly and only have the two screen cables connected and it still happens.

What was the problem with the phone prior to the fix was it :-

1, working fully before

2, playing up like this

3, was the screen broken too badly to test

I don’t think it had been used for a while. Screen was cracked, but when I charged it up and it powered on there was a message saying Touch ID wouldn’t work. That’s ok. But the touch screen wouldn’t work either, but I figured it was just a crappy screen (it had been repaired previously) and thought a new screen would make it better. It does, but only briefly.

There may have already been a problem with the touch working then, is the phone bent??? At the top around the volume button level but on the opposite side of the phone??? Its more rare on the normal 6 than the 6 plus but i have had quite a few iPhone 6's with touch problems, u need someone with at least a microscope and multimeter to check the fpc connector and look for out of place or damaged components for me it's always been the meson ic replacement that works

If the place u take it doesn't have a microscope or a multimeter its likely they will do more harm and make it harder to repair

Ruling out bad screens the only way possible really is to try one u know for definite actually works

Are there any signs of corrosion? It sounds more like it could be a board problem. I would try a new battery to see if this works. If it doesn't , contact a local lab repair store and see if they could do any micro soldering work. Actually before you do that, I would take it into a 3rd party repair shop and have them do a diagnostic.
