What power connector is this video display use? (LiquidVideo LVM701)

I was given this because it was going to be thrown out and it appears it has never been used. However, I can’t use it in a car since it’s from 2003 (unless it’s incredibly old if the connector is nonstandard) and I’m missing everything to it outside of ONE additional RCA in cable that isn’t part of the unit. That said, if I can flip the video or create a upside down stand that’s stable it looks like it may work for a test monitor if I don’t need a full blown TV. My theory is it’s made for a European car (VW, BMW, Benz, etc.) since it’s robust looking but I don’t know much about it because it’s a Circuit City product and I can’t find a archived manual to come up with any clues. However, it could also look European but be universal considering where it came from.

I’m not concerned about the LAMP connectors since I don’t need them and they’re incandescent. I’d rather leave them unplugged to keep the power draw down and sin

Another option I may look into is taking scrap power cord that’s able to handle it and soldering a DC 12V (center positive) jack to the existing wire (and decapitating it) or making it secure but removable. I would consider decapitation considering how much it’s missing (plus it’s basically worthless on the used market) but I’d rather go modular to save the connector (even if I need to remove it; I already marked the polarity just in case).

I don’t know how many amps it needs, but it’s probably on par with most DVD players (~1-3 amps depending on the unit). It also doesn’t matter as long as I use a 12V adapter since it will only draw what’s required.

Here is a photo of the LAMP connector for additional reference. Not using it but it may help ID if it's generic or specific further.

@nick I am a bit confused by what you are asking. If you are looking for the female end of the 2 pin power connector, that may be difficult since we do not have enough information about this. I would suggest that you go to your nearest hardware store or automotive store and buy a new, complete (male and female) connector. The cost should be minimal and in that case you can still properly connect things and it will look professional. Something like this is what I would use.

I was seeing if I could track down if it's nonstandard or vehicle specific. I figured if it was manufacturer specific I could try and find the right connector that way and save the stock connector; mainly to see if this is vheicle specific OR universal. I suspect European because of the connector size.

Yeah. I tried but much like everything sold by Circuit City the information is as dead as the company if it wasn't archived :(. I'm just as clueless to the degree you are. I even ended up giving up finding the manual because it's made of unobtainium unless I get lucky. I've provided what I have available to me and yeah... It's not much.

The connector is most likely not vehicle specific since the LVM701 is not listed anywhere as an available accessory marketed by any vehicle manufacturer. I am certain this was sold with the female end as a piggyback connector.

I see. Since it's probably some unusual connector that's probably obsolete (or hard to find) that probably rules out finding a compatible female lead and preserving it easily.

It was worth seeing if I can get away with it.
