Adhesive / Glue needed for in-ear Bose Soundsport headphones

I have a pair of Bose Soundsport in-ear headphones. After a year or so, the rubber / silicone cover that protects the on/off button & usb charging port from sweat and water has come un-glued.

Where can I find replacement adhesive for this purpose? I need your help please.

Thank you.

This might sound a bit ridiculous, but the best choice might be liquid super glue. If you do go this route, make sure to not put too much on. I recommend spreading it with a toothpick.

It might also help to see a picture of exactly what the problem is.

I can’t guarantee that you will keep your water resistance, however you can use a type of rubber sealant/cement. There is a type of rubber water resistant sealant that people use for repairing fish tanks that is water resistant up to a certain point. And since it is made of silicone you will still be able to press the button without any issues. You should be able to use a toothpick to apply it to the button. I’ll leave a link to a sealant that you may be able to use!

Hope this helps!

I would suggest taking a heatshrink tube aproximately 40-45mm wide. Be careful when shrinking the tubing with heat (best to use a lighter). Then cut off the excess tubing and cut a hole for the charging port. That was the method i used.

You could also try battery shrink (I have not tried this method)

I know this is not ideal and the results might not look great but it’s better than the rubber falling off. I will post pictures if you are interested.

Good luck.

Just wanted to add that an 18650 battery shrink tube works even better than the regular shrink tube. It'a lot safer too. Just cut a piece and put it over the ear phone and apply heat from a blow dryer for a few second and it will wrap around. Hope this helps. Let me know if you want photos.
