Have a late 2009 27” iMac.
Both fans have stopped working. SMC reset hasn’t fixed it and a good replacement fan also hasn’t fixed it either.
iMac starts and works OK but obviously it gets hot. Are there micro fuses somewhere that may have blown, and if so where are they and what do they look like.

is the activity monitor showing fan is functioning ?
is dust build up on the system ? if yes did you try blowing of the dust ?
Have you try replacing the FAN?

@shiham - You're on the right track!
Dust chokes the life out of any computer! I would add given the age of the system the CPU & GPU thermal paste and pads need to be cleaned off and refreshed. The heatsinks heat pipe may have lost its coolant so you do want to look for signs of leakage!
But before doing anything! You do want to capture a good reference on what you have started with and then again afterwards to see the improvement! I personally use TG Pro as it offers the most useful view of the sensors and fans. It can also tell us if there is something amiss within SMC if you get the full version.

Lets see if we can isolate out whats happening here with some deeper diagnostics. Install this app TG Pro it will allow you to see all of the thermal sensors and the fans RPM's. Paste a snapshot of the main window here for us to see Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag.
You'll likely need to grow the size of the window to get all of the sensors & fans to show up by stretching the bottom.

Thanks for answer but have done all this. I know its a physical issue and not related to software/smc etc. What I need is the location of the fuses or circuitry related to the ODD fan and CPU fan Thanks
