length of scsi cables needed in two drive installation

hi,

I bought I fixits dual drive installation kit with the goal of replacing the original drive with

an SSD for applications and a cache for video editing rendering files etc and then addiing a 7200rpm to use for source MOV files. while doing the installation I broke the original scsi cable and need to replace it. the other scsi cable that came with the kit works fine. Its now connected to an SSD installed in the lower bay and the length is perfect to the scsi port located toward the center of the mother board. I’m looking for a replacement scsi cable to run from a second drive located in the upper bay to the scsi located toward the out edge of the mboard. Is there a specific part number of this (shorter) cable or should I fold another replacement cable to make it shorter?

Is there any standard folding technique to adjust the length of a flat cable?

Thanks in advance for any insights or advice on this.

Your system does not use SCSI, your system uses SATA for the drive interfaces. Because of the space limitations a shielded ribbon cable is used. If you damaged it you’ll need to replace it. The cable is marked where the folds take place you don’t want to over fold or crease the cable as that will create I/O errors.
