Lost network connectivity randomly on an iPhone XS running iOS 12.1.4.

Running iOS 12.1.4 (regretfully) on an iPhone XS. i randomly pick my phone up only to find out that the mobile network has disappeared. The control center displays "searching" infinitely (image attached) and i cannot update any carrier settings since my phone already has the latest one.

i cannot make any calls or connect to the internet on mobile data.

The about page displays network and carrier as "Not Available". (Image attached)

The mobile data page is a blank screen. (image attached)

Also, my phone does not detect or notify me if i remove the sim card tray or put it back in. Even without a sim or the tray itself, the phone keeps on searching for a a mobile network.

PLEASE HELP! How do i regain network connectivity on my phone ?

P.S.- Every thing else is A-Okay! Wi-Fi works and the phone's fully functional except for the mobile network.

Not sure if this is a hardware issue at all. Try restarting or restore network settings or restore iOS.

Thanks for your help mate! I tried all the troubleshooting steps that exist but to no avail. Eventually gave up and made a reservation at the genius bar. They diagnosed my phone for 2 days and ruled out any software issue and agreed to replace my phone with a new unit. But i doubt it was a hardware issue at all. Something to do with iOS 12.1.4 bricking my phone I guess? Mysterious.

Anyway, Thanks for your help. Cheers!
