My calculator doesn't turn on anymore

My calculator stopped working out of no where. It doesn’t turn on no matter what I do. When i plug it in the orange light indicates it is charging. It will turn green after a while indicating it is fully charged. But when i plug it out and plug it in immidiatly after it goes through the same process again. It just doesn’s seem to charge. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this problem?

I have this problem too. But the first thing that happened was that I fried the transistor that controls the LED, which I soldered off. But now after 3/4 months of giving it life support the thing doesn't want to turn on or charge anymore.

Hi, thanks for including all that information! I think TI-84 Plus CE Recovery Techniques. is what you’re looking for. Please comment if you still can’t get it working and I’ll keep trying to help!

P.S. The charging light is separate from the main calculator software so it can still charge even when the main calculator is frozen or broken.

Well that's surprising, even trying the OS reinstall didn't work? Were you able to get the display to even turn on for a second? This may be a display issue. I know you said you tried this before, but since you did some of those recovery techniques, something may have changed. If you plug your calculator into your computer, does your computer recognize that something was connected? If so, then it's most likely your display that's broken. Let me know if you think that's your problem. If your computer doesn't recognize that something was connected, then you've got hardware damage. You can try to take it apart by using a teardown guide ( TI-84 Plus CE Teardown ) however if your calculator is still under warranty, I would highly suggest turning to TI customer support and requesting a new calculator instead: https://education.ti.com/en/customer-sup...
