Replacement Screen goes blank when waken from idle/timeout.

I wonder if anybody can give me a pointer as to what is going wrong my replacement screen for an iphone 6s, when I installed the screen i can get it only to work when the screen is popped out and has no pressure on a certain area of the screen.Once the screen is placed into the frame it works up until the screen goes idle, when its idle I try to wake it up but only the backlight works. I can pop the screen out of the frame it will start working again and once it is out I can put the phone in idle and wake it up without a problem.

You probably have a mix of a bad quality screen and a bumped housing there and the combination of the two causes that issue. First thing to do would be to try to straighten the housing shape where it’s bumped with a small precision hammer. Or find an original used housing on the market. You could also try reducing a bit the side pressure by gently use very fine sand paper on the screen edges to reduce a bit thickness.

I second this the housing is probably bumped/bent. Which causes pressure on the screen.

The EMI shield pushing against the housing was also causing side pressure. Thanks you very much.

It's usually just a bad screen. I've used lots of screens on slightly bent frames.

Thank you all, I replaced the screen and it solved the problem.
