iPhone 5s Missing FL38

Hello,

After cleaning a 5s iPhone logic board (water damaged), everything works fine except the the power button, it´s unresponsive. The button is ok, i’ve tryed with another one. There is a missing smd on the board, FL38. Is it possible that it´s the cause of the fault?

Thank You.

Gekozen oplossing

FL38 is part of compass circuitry, thus compass is likely faulty too.

Thank You. Are you confirming it's the reason for the unresponsive power button?

Unfortunately no, that just adds a fault to your phone. First thing I'd try is to plug in a known working power button flex cable to your board as it might be a simple damaged flex. I'd also check carefully the connector and surrounding components on the logic board.

R3001 or R46? Is it possible? Thank You.

R46 is part of the screen circuitry, R3001 doesn't exist. Check R22 and FL3 and J2 condition. Did you try a known good flex yet ?

door

Thank You. Yes, i tryed with another flex.
