After screen replacement the 7 Plus turns off itself

I just did a iphone 7Plus screen replacement. I turn off the phone and disconnected the battery and did all the process as always.

But when I turned on the phone the battery was on 1% but the phone has battery. When I put the charger, shows back 67% battery.

And the phone shut down by itself.

Turn off and turn on by itself.

Everything else works fine.

I searched on some forums and someone said that it’s the front camera problem, just replace it and it will resolve the problem.

Someone else said it’s the IC cover that is on the lcd is exposing some of the micro caps which is touching the LCD shield when you install the screen. Those caps ground on the LCD shield causing the LCD display to either shut down, over heat or make the display look like its fading out.

Another person said just connected to iTunes and do the restore.

And someone said could be gas gauge problem.

Anyone that has this problem before?

Could it be logicboard problem or something else?

This may be silly but it could be just the battery not plugged in fully. Also look for any components near screen and battery connector for any pry damage, basically loose or missing capacitors. The ones closer to the battery connector are for gas gauge as others said to get battery voltage / health information.

Hello. Yes it could be a gas gauge problem. Jessa Jones is well known amongst ifixit soldering. She just did a video earlier about a similar issue with battery percentage. But it was not powering off and on.

Theres a tiny filter(looks like a capacitor usually). It’s right next to the battery port. If it was knocked off,it can cause battery percentage issues.

as for the lcd plate pin short,it’s unlikely. As long as you put the screws in the right holes, and the lcd plate back on straight and not badly bent,it’s unlikely that.

It could be the camera flex causing weird power issues sometimes. Try to disconnect it and leave it disconnected. See if this helps. Also, have you tried a different screen? If not, please do. Defective screen ic chips can cause the iTunes dfu error, and more. As for the camera cable,my moms was damaged by me stupidly..it would power off(not by itself though),and not turn back on. Replacing the cable fixed the problem.

Jessa Jones is very experienced and fixed these things on a daily basis. Ipadrehab.com is her website. You can contact her if you can’t fix it yourself. Let me know please if the suggestions I have work or not.
