My phone is not booting beyond Samsung Logo, I need urgent help

Hi team,

I’ve just updated my phone with the available update (was pending since long time), and just after that, my phone has stopped working. It is not booting beyond boot logo,

Have searched on Google for solutions, and found this guide: https://techshali.com/fix-galaxy-s7-stuc...

And it suggests to perform a factory reset and I’m certain that it would make it work. However, I have tons of data stored within my phone. That will be vanished. I’m in a very delicate situation, whether to do this or not. If I proceed, I will lose my data.

What should I do? Help is really appreciated.

Can you boot into recovery mode and wipe the cache partition? It may help.

  1. Charge the phone for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Press and then hold the Home and Volume UP keys, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the Samsung Galaxy logo shows on the screen, release the Power key but continue holding the Home and Volume Up keys.
  4. When the Android logo shows, you may release both keys and leave the phone be for about 30 to 60 seconds.
  5. Using the Volume Down key, navigate through the options and highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  6. You can either wipe the cache partition or do a factory reset when in this mode. Obviously don’t do the factory reset unless you want to lose everything.
