Broken clasp on the female fan connector MacMini

My MacMini 6,1 fan stopped working, and when I attempted to reseat it, the side of the female connector snapped. I don’t have the new fan yet, but should it still fit with this connector in this state?

At least the pins are not damaged. You may need a bit of tape to hold the connection down.
