Replaced a shattered iPhone 7 screen bought from iFixit. Tested after making all connections before closing up phone. Seemed to work fine. Closed up the phone and it was stuck in the startup loop (Apple logo). Disassembled and reconnected everything and it didn’t work even with case open as before. Reinstalled the old shattered screen and phone works fine.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like you got a faulty screen to me. Contact iFixit customer support here and arrange an exchange.

check that the cables are completely connected. if they are connected and you still have issues you have a bad screen probably. email or call iFixit customer support and ask for an exchange or something of the like.
