My car won't start after replacing my back single lights I heard a pop

I have a 2003 Jetta motor 2.0. my back single lights went out I bought new one put them in on the right back single lights went to put in bulb heard like a popping noise no car will not start

have you checked the fuses? there should be a guide in the glove compartment/manual to tell you which fuse is for the back lights. Check all the fuses even if you find that the one for the light is ok...plenty of times we miss the faulty one (speaking from experience!)
