Drive shaft jammed and bowl won't come out

I was slicing vegetables and couldn't find my plunger. So I used a plastic handled scraper. It got jammed in the slicer and now everything is stuck. I got the slicer plate off but I can't get the center piece or bowl out. Can this be fixed? If so how? Or should I just get a new one?
